EPUD Clean Energy plans support wind and geothermal power. Customers may choose from three options.The 100% Wind Plan purchases wind energy equal to ALL of your monthly usage. The cost is 0.8 cents/kWh (in addition to your regular bill), or approximately $10 more per month for a household using 1,310 kWh monthly.

• The 50% Wind Plan purchases wind energy equal to half of your monthly usage. The cost is 0.8 cents/kWh (in addition to your regular bill), or approximately $5 more per month for a household using 1,310 kWh monthly.
• Businesses can also purchase wind power at either 100%, 50%, 25%, or 10% of their usage. The cost is 0.8 cents/kWh (in addition to the regular bill).

The EWEB Greenpower program will focus on generation facilities including the Stateline Wind Energy Center that straddles the Oregon-Washington border, Klondike 3 Wind Project in Eastern Oregon and our very own solar photovoltaic electric generation projects in Eugene.

• You can purchase EWEB Greenpower matched to the equivalent amount of your monthly electric use in kilowatt-hours in your home or business for a 1 cent/kWh premium.
• Another option is to buy Greenpower blocks of renewable power each month in either 100 kilowatt-hour or 1,000 kilowatt-hour blocks, which represent the renewable energy output for that amount of power. The block product costs $1.50 for each 100 kilowatt-hour block.

Some customers may choose to buy both consumption-based Greenpower and blocks.

Pacific Power’s Blue Sky^SM renewable energy program offers Oregon residential and small non-residential customers three green power options – Block, Usage, and Habitat. Medium and large non-residential customers have the opportunity to support renewable energy through the Block option.

With all these options customers support newly developed renewable resources and renewable energy development in the region.

• Blue Sky Block lets you support Green-e Energy Certified Western region wind resources in 100 kilowatt-hour (kwh) increments called blocks for an additional fixed cost of $1.95 per block per month. You also help to build smaller scale community-based renewable energy projects. You can buy as many blocks as you'd like, allowing you to green a portion or all your energy use.
• Blue Sky Usage allows you to support a blend of Green-e Energy Certified renewable resources such as wind, biomass, geothermal, solar and low-impact certified hydro  equal to  100 percent of your monthly electric use. The additional cost is 1.2 cents per kwh above the normal rate. (About $12 more than the Basic Service rate per month for a typical customer using 1,000 kwh per month)
• Blue Sky Habitat works like the Usage option (above), but also provides an option to help fund on-the-ground native fish habitat restoration and preservation projects through a fixed $2.50 monthly donation directed to The Freshwater Trust, a nonprofit organization that restores rivers and streams throughout Oregon. The average additional monthly cost for this option is $14.50.

Portland General Electric (PGE)

PGE offers two renewable power options to its customers - Green Source and Clean Wind - and also offers a Habitat Support option that can be used with either program.

• Green Source allows you to purchase 100% of your electricity from renewable sources, approximately 82% from new wind and 11% from new biomass (wood waste) and 7% new geothermal energy. The additional cost is 0.012 cents per kWh above the normal rate. (About $10 more than Basic Service rate per month for a typical customer using 800 kWh per month)
• Clean Wind allows you to support development of new wind power generation in the Pacific Northwest. With this option, you purchase small units of wind power at a fixed price of $3.50 per 200 kWh block, which is billed in addition to your normal monthly charges. The funds from your Clean Wind choice will support construction of new renewable resources in the Pacific Northwest, such as the solar panels on the Oregon State Capitol.
• The Habitat Support optional supplement to either Green Source or Clean Wind supports stream habitat for salmon and other fish foran additional $2.50 per month, which goes directly to The Nature Conservancy.
