Green Power Options for Oregon CustomersSigning up for green power is easy for most utility customers in the Northwest. Basic descriptions of Oregon utility green power programs are listed here. The City of Ashland and the non-profit Bonneville Environmental Foundation have teamed up to make it easy for homes and businesses in Ashland to support local and regional renewable power through a program called Renewable Pioneers. By purchasing BEF Carbon Offsets, your money supports the production of electricity from clean and sustainable renewable power from solar and wind power projects across North America.

EPUD Clean Energy plans support wind and geothermal power. Customers may choose from three options.The 100% Wind Plan purchases wind energy equal to ALL of your monthly usage. The cost is 0.8 cents/kWh (in addition to your regular bill), or approximately $10 more per month for a household using 1,310 kWh monthly.

The EWEB Greenpower program will focus on generation facilities including the Stateline Wind Energy Center that straddles the Oregon-Washington border, Klondike 3 Wind Project in Eastern Oregon and our very own solar photovoltaic electric generation projects in Eugene.
Some customers may choose to buy both consumption-based Greenpower and blocks.
