Senate Bill 838, the Oregon Renewable Energy Act, was originally introduced as SB 373. Testimony and letters of support submitted for SB 373 will also be considered in support of SB 838, the current bill number.

Just remember: SB 838 = SB 373 = Oregon Renewable Energy Act.

 

"The new Elk Horn Wind Project will infuse new revenue into our county. Harvesting the wind will help the budget by making up for some of the losses tied to decreasing timber revenues. We estimate the county will receive $10 million over the next 20 years from this one project."
